Professor Albert Heck has received one of the highest international honours in mass spectrometry. On June 2nd, during the annual conference of the American Society for Mass Spectrometry (ASMS) in San Diego, he was presented with the Distinguished Contribution in Mass Spectrometry Award. The award honours his groundbreaking research on viruses and other complex biological systems.
