Fabio Marino
Assistant ProfessorOur group focuses on antigen discovery and immunobiology, aiming to deepen our understanding of HLA class I and II antigen processing and presentation using mass spectrometry–based proteomics and immunopeptidomics. By studying these processes in both immune and diseased cells, we seek to improve clinical applications, identify targetable HLA-bound antigens, and uncover how T cells recognize antigens. We also develop and apply advanced analytical workflows, including automation, liquid chromatography, ion mobility, mass spectrometry, alternative fragmentation techniques, and bioinformatics. Our lab is part of the Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry and Proteomics group within the Utrecht Institute for Pharmaceutical Sciences (UIPS), Oncode Accelerator (OA), and the Princess Máxima Center (PMC).
