Bas van Breukelen serves as educational leader within the Biomolecular Mass Spectrometry group, connecting the group’s analytical expertise to Bachelor’s, Master’s and PhD education. He is initiator and coordinator of the Master’s programme in Bioinformatics and BioComplexity (BiBC), which he designed to integrate bioinformatics and systems biology while bridging differences in student background. As chair of the University Teaching Qualification (UTQ) committee for Biology and Pharmacy, he supports academic staff development and educational quality. In recognition of his educational leadership at faculty and Graduate School level, he was selected to participate in Utrecht University’s Leergang Onderwijskundig Leiderschap.
